The artwork of today has diversified. Art is viewed as a sign on expression and release. Many empty walls crave for more color and design on them and we artists are here to create and fulfil this in our own or shared creative vision. painting tells a story of more than a thousand words. It gives an area - a home, public space, restaurant, hall, school, hospital a different outlook.
If you are one of those people who are interested in buying, collecting and gifting artwork, affordable original art is easy to find. There are more and more artists today who are constantly creating and sharing their work at affordable prices for different kinds of audiences to appreciate. If you are not willing to spend too much money on original or overly expensive art pieces, here are some way you can go about buying artwork at a more affordable price.
1- Look out for new artists!
New artists who are at the prime of their art career like me :) are always creating and trying to reach out to art lovers and art collectors who appreciate our work all around the world. You can also take it a step further by doing an online search on local artists in your area.
2- Social media:
Social media tags such as #artlovers #artcollectors #affordableart are a few hashtags that you can use to view some beautiful pieces of artwork. There are several online art galleries which sells prints and affordable artwork, but searching for a unique piece OR an artwork from a hidden new artist (who doesn’t publish openly on these kind of platforms) is definitely more desirable as you can have a piece which is not as common as the others and in turn help a new artist as well.
3- Reach out directly to the artists:
As technology has given us such an amazing outreach to people all over the world, try reaching out directly to artists. Don’t hesitate! We would love to hear from you and receive your feedback to help us learn more and see how our vision is being interpreted by our audiences.
4- Art prints:
If you are not too keen on buying an artwork because of the size of it, or you would refer framing it on your own according to a different size specification, reach out to the artist and request for an art print on the artwork you like. I’m sure we artists can work something out!
