We have come to know Vanessa as a driven and friendly employee who has always done her job with great dedication and professionalism. 

She was able to support all recruitment processes on a highly skilled level with the result of hiring 4 new teammates in a short period of time. 

In addition to these recruitment tasks Vanessa created a employee survey and was able to roll out this activity to the team for feedback within the time limits we had.

The English Academy for Newcomers provides English language education in Utrecht. We give refugees and asylum seekers language skills so they can build new lives for themselves.

  • Sourced and pre-screened applications both (local and international) by contacting them via telephone/email and scheduled interviews accordingly.

  • Participated in interviews as a panel member for different departments across the organization.

  • Maintained relationships with advertising agencies, web-based recruitment marketing sites such as LinkedIn.

  • Prepared job advertisements for faculty and staff positions and ensured a high level of professionalism of marketing in print and internet.

  • Ensured cost effective delivery of services, discussed appropriate rates and package arrangements, maintain contracts, track costs and financial payments for job advertisements.

  • Trained team members on job advertisement procedures external websites and internal website (Oracle I-Recruitment).


During our work together in the HR, Vanessa was very supportive and can easily get things done as she had common since of how the workflow must go, she also was very calm and reaches out to team members with clarity, professionalism and good manners. I had the pleasure to have worked with her.
